    Arm and Leg Lift

It is possible to see sagging and cracks in the arms and legs after excessive weight gain and loss in the arm and leg area, sagging as a result of decreased elasticity of the skin in advanced ages or in cases due to genetic predisposition at an earlier age.

Conditions such as loosening and reduction of subcutaneous support tissue in the arms and legs, excessive and inappropriate accumulation of fat tissue may lead to the need for this surgery in the arms and legs.

With an arm and leg lift, you can have more taut, younger-looking arms and legs.

    How is the surgery performed?

By making appropriate incisions in the appropriate areas, excess and sagging skin and subcutaneous excess are removed. As a result of the surgery, scars may remain in invisible places on the body. These scars are usually in the area close to the armpit and on the inside of the arm, which are the least visible places when viewed from the outside for the arms. For a leg lift, it is hidden in the groin area, the inner part of the leg and the fold area under the buttocks. Liposuction surgery is often performed together with the arm lift surgery. In this way, subcutaneous fat tissue can be reduced more and more sagging skin can be removed.

    Duration of surgery

Under general anesthesia, arm lift surgery takes 2-3 hours and leg lift surgery takes 2.5-4 hours.

What are the points to be considered after the surgery?

There is pain for a few days after the surgery. Pain is relieved with painkillers. As the day goes by, the pain decreases completely. In the first days, there is a feeling of tension and swelling in the arms and legs. In this process, it is recommended to keep the hands and feet elevated to reduce swelling. The patient is usually discharged after 1-2 days of hospitalization.

It is also possible to experience swelling and bruising after the operation, which will disappear in a few weeks. Return to work in 7 to 10 days. However, patients are advised to use a suitable corset for one month. During the same period, you should avoid heavy exercise and not overstretch your arms and legs.

It takes 6 months to 1 year for all swelling to disappear and for your arms and legs to take their desired final shape.c
